Chrissy & Dennis’s Engagement Session at Plum Island

Engagement sessions are always a chance to slow down and capture a couple in a place that feels special and natural, and Chrissy and Dennis’s shoot along the coast of Plum Island was exactly that. The day may have been cloudy, but the love and energy these two brought with them more than made up for the overcast skies. With the right approach, even a moody day can make colors pop—and their photos turned out vivid, lively, and full of heart.

We began along the coastline, where the ocean stretched out in soft shades of blue and gray. The rolling waves, the salty breeze, and the wide-open horizon set a serene, romantic stage for Chrissy and Dennis. The overcast sky acted like a giant softbox, creating a flattering light that made every candid moment between them glow. One of my favorite things about photographing in New England is how unpredictable the weather can be.
